Acceptable Use Policy
This policy protects recipients, customers, providers, and the MessageHop platform. It supplements the Terms and Conditions and applies to every user, registered app, credential, project, and message.
1. Send with authority and permission
Use MessageHop only for lawful communications that the customer is authorized to send. Maintain required recipient consent, preferences, opt-outs, sender registrations, approved templates, DLT records, and evidence. Do not conceal a promotional purpose inside a transactional or service classification.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
- Spam, harassment, threats, hate, exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, or deceptive impersonation.
- Malware, phishing, credential theft, fraudulent financial requests, or links intended to evade provider review.
- Illegal goods, services, or activity; content that violates intellectual-property or privacy rights; or messages prohibited by a provider or destination.
- Purchased, scraped, guessed, or unlawfully shared recipient lists.
- Attempts to manipulate template variables, headers, sender identities, opt-out controls, delivery evidence, billing, quotas, or abuse detection.
3. Security and credentials
Do not expose credentials in code, apps, tickets, URLs, logs, analytics, or public repositories. Do not probe another tenant, bypass authorization, interfere with availability, reverse engineer protected systems, or run security tests against production without written authorization. Report vulnerabilities responsibly to security@msghop.com.
4. Fair and reliable use
Respect documented rate, concurrency, payload, recipient, and retention limits. Use idempotency keys correctly, bound retries, avoid duplicate customer experiences, and stop irrelevant reminders. Do not create accounts or projects to evade restrictions or provider decisions.
5. Sensitive and high-risk use
Do not use MessageHop as the sole channel for emergency services, life-critical alerts, or decisions that depend on assured delivery. Additional review may apply to regulated sectors, financial requests, authentication, health, children, political messaging, or high-risk destinations.
6. Investigation and enforcement
We may investigate credible abuse signals and preserve appropriate evidence. Depending on risk, we may rate-limit, quarantine, reject, suspend, revoke, or terminate the affected credential, app, project, channel, or Organization; require remediation; notify providers or authorities where lawful; and protect other tenants from enumeration.
7. Report abuse
Send abuse reports to hello@msghop.com with a safe message reference, sender identity, approximate time, and reason. Do not forward credentials, OTPs, or unnecessary message content.
